Global HR Compliance Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
  • 8 years of experience in strategy or HR consulting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • JD, MBA or Master's degree in a management, HR or public policy field.
  • Experience executing strategic initiatives or projects in a complex, fast paced, global environment.
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity across a variety of contexts and comfort with challenging orthodoxies, with a propensity to action.
  • Ability to make courageous decisions when presented with challenges and bring people along with the commitments needed to deliver.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$234,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Leverage subject matter expertise to drive compliance with key regulatory and policy obligations and expectations with significant autonomy at a global level.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders for major compliance programs and areas across People Ops and Alphabet/Google.
  • Conduct horizon scanning for current and emerging HR compliance regulatory requirements and stay up-to-date on changes in HR compliance laws and regulations.
  • Understand cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes to guide optimization of mitigation strategies and resourcing.
  • Demonstrate understanding of current legal, social, and cultural events globally and their potential impact on HR compliance programs. Develop and own communication plans to communicate compliance program status, issues, and risks effectively and proactively to stakeholders.
