Equipment Technician, Facilities, Raxium

Minimum qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience working in critical facility support.
  • Experience in maintaining facility and support equipment, RODI, PCW, LN2 systems, HVAC, CDA, Air compressors, pumps, motors, gauges, and regulators.
  • Experience in gas distribution system, installing gas cylinders, chemical handling.
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment areas such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, software controls, vacuum, and operating forklifts.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in using Manufacturing Execution Software (MES) and Building Management System (BMS).
  • Experience in reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in supporting an emergency response and safety team.

About the job

In this role, you will have to support the development of Raxium's unique, first of its kind micro LED's - our facility and equipment staff's responsibility is to keep the semiconductor equipment operations running safely and smoothly, everything from preventative and reactive maintenance to complex troubleshooting, equipment installations and improvements.

You will work cross-functionally supporting a broad range of semiconductor/facility equipment and clean room infrastructure. You should be able to understand the relationship between semiconductor and semiconductor support equipment and should be able to troubleshoot complex problems, plan and execute tasks and support team efforts related to installation, modification, maintenance and repair of cleanroom and cleanroom support equipment.

You will support semiconductor operations and perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on equipment including but not limited to RODI, HVAC, CDA, Gas distribution systems, gas cylinder installations and management, and material handling.

Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $81,000-$119,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Perform general, routine, and corrective maintenance as needed.
  • Perform Electro/Mechanical/Electro troubleshooting.
  • Perform chemical and material handling, including gas cylinder changes.
  • Perform general maintenance not limited to gas regulators, valve replacement, and piping support.
  • Support equipment and facility engineering department as needed to improve equipment performance.
