About the job

In this role, you will be responsible for supplier development and ongoing performance management to Google's technology and business needs. You will drive collaboration to develop and execute Google's sourcing strategy for our Networking hardware across multiple internal organizations, in support of our infrastructure deployment that powers Google's services. You will be a part of a Supply Chain team that drives continuous improvements and ensures operational excellence in support of Google's growth. You will lead, communicate, and partner across multiple functions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term sourcing strategies for networking system hardware, including optimal design engagement models and strategies related to managing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Networking equipment operating in a data center and backbone environment.
  • Support of our Networking engineering, sourcing and supply chain objectives, including advising on supplier selection for new deployments and executive supplier business reviews.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance framework in technology alignment, cost, quality, delivery and implement supply chain improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through robust supplier selection for new deployments and perform network hardware should-cost analysis and market analysis to achieve competitive results.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations including comprehensive contractual agreements. Define cost drivers, developing cost models, and establishing cost analysis while managing supplier business reviews, performance in technology alignment, cost, quality, delivery and implement supply chain improvements.
