Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience designing, scoping, executing, and delivering research and analysis projects.
- Experience translating business problems into research questions and translating research findings and insights into marketing recommendations.
- Experience managing research and measurement agencies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing qualitative, quantitative and measurement agencies.
- Knowledge of Washington DC and the US political environment.
- Knowledge of policy in international and multinational (e.g., EU) policy-making processes.
- Ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
About the job
As a Research and Insights Manager, you will be embedded with the Policy and Responsibility Marketing team, and help inform policy perspectives for Google’s products (e.g., Search, News etc). You will manage the global policymaker tracker, and infuse your understanding of current events to add context to trends and provide actionable recommendations on opportunities. You will serve as the lead point-of-contact with the research agency, surfacing common themes across markets, highlighting country-specific nuances and their implications, and socializing findings with internal stakeholders. You will have sound knowledge of the regulatory landscape, familiarity with emerging technology issue areas and an interest in ongoing legislation.Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Responsibilities
- Manage the global policymaker tracking program, which involves both quantitative surveys and qualitative touch-points, and creating a comprehensive reporting program that supports a variety of stakeholders.
- Scope custom AI research from start to finish, including designing an effective brief, managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), on-boarding research agencies, choosing a methodology, executing the study, and deploying insights and recommendations via compelling narratives in a variety of formats (e.g., decks, sites, emails, presentations, etc.)
- Develop insights from quantitative data and qualitative observations, using a variety of internal and external sources and contribute thoughtful findings that can only be surfaced through an integrated data perspective
- Share research findings and insights via presentations in forums large and small, with everyone in the staff.
