Vendor Solutions Consultant, Google Cloud (English, Spanish)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or customer-facing role in consulting or vendor extended workforce/IT services (e.g., Customer Support, Tele-Sales, Engineering, etc.).
  • Experience analyzing and advising commercial business agreements, and governing SOW constructs for service-based agreements and commercial models.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience preparing Strategy in Sourcing requests from business, consulting, and presenting to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in a contract role with a professional services and consulting organization.
  • Ability to collaborate globally across vendors, business, operations, marketing, and product teams.
  • Ability to deliver business transformation programs in a fluid environment.
  • Ability to operate in complex environments, demonstrate thought leadership, and be result-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate and influence cross-functionally and at the executive level.

About the job

As a Vendor Solutions Consultant, you will enable the execution of the Google Cloud Vendor Management Office (VMO) strategy. You will own delivery of Sourcing Solutions to Google Cloud stakeholders and assist VMO in sourcing, establishing vendors, and deploying contracting structures/governance models. You will work as an advisor and expert in the vendor extended workforce space for our business stakeholders and partners to deliver successful solutions and execution, owning timelines and outcomes to comply with the team's KPIs.

You will work on areas such as contracting, vendor selection, administration of requests, location strategy, rate card assessments, and others. You will support the development of standardized terms for vendor Statements of Work (SOW) for Google Cloud services. You will collaborate with business teams across Google Cloud support, sales, engineering, and more. The Google Cloud VMO has responsibility for all extended workforce needs across Google Cloud. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for sourcing, selecting, negotiating with, and contracting vendors for Google Cloud Business functions (e.g., Engineering, Sales, Support, etc.).
  • Analyze existing vendor agreements, compare them against standards, and identify gaps to minimize operational risks.
  • Propose new solutions considering location strategy, rate cards, and commercial clauses, aligning them with standards and industry best practices.
  • Research cost benchmarks across global locations and service types to provide recommendations that meet Google Cloud business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce overhead, contract count, execution time, and enhance other relevant KPIs.
