Sales Manager, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience managing teams in Google or Digital Ad Sales.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • Excellent at dealing with ambiguity and operating in a multiplex environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

With a rapidly growing array of sales teams, it's important to have knowledgeable, charismatic leaders to guide our client sales teams. As a Sales manager, you'll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.

In this role, you will manage a team responsible for a large portfolio of Retail customers based in Denmark, Norway and Finland. You will work closely with the Head of Norway and Denmark in Dublin and the DeNoFi Retail leadership team in Copenhagen to deliver on the commercial opportunity that we see in the market, set objectives and maximize the full team’s performance. You will be lead and coach a high-performing sales team that can sell and achieve ambitious business targets and growth quotas. Your team will use business skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their business. In addition, you need to be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to motivate a senior team and role model a competitive business mindset and combine this with an ability to take an approach to business management.

As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against assigned business targets and overall business metrics.
  • Manage, inspire and motivate a team of client-facing and high-performing Googlers. Coach on competitive business, implementation and measurement to ensure that quarterly goals are met by ensuring that key plans are in place and that recovery plans are implemented if required.
  • Act as a role model for your team by pitching high-value opportunities to our customers.
  • Identify process improvement areas and solutions, share and encourage best practices across both local and in-country Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance, develop robust plans for customers. Ensure that quarterly regional plans and long-term regional business plans are in place.
