Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in go-to-market, corporate strategy planning, product marketing, program management, or consulting, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience in the gaming industry partnering with Product Managers, or other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience in an analytical role, such as management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Gaming industry and passion for gaming.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication, influencing and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior audiences.
  • Knowledge of YouTube Product, creator ecosystem (including content creation) and competitive landscape.
  • Independent with high level of comfort with ambiguity, ability to learn quickly and flex across different subject matters and priorities, and high attention to detail.
  • Strong business sense with strategic thinking and distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills (e.g., SQL).

About the job

The YouTube Business Product Activation Team launches and scales adoption of YouTube products, collaborating with business and product leaders across the creator ecosystem. We identify opportunities, ensure launch readiness, drive execution, and gather market feedback to shape product roadmaps.

As a Product Activation Manager, you will serve as a product expert for operations teams globally and analyze data to influence product roadmaps and the prioritization of product features.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Manager, Engineering, Marketing, PR, Scaled education, Operations and Partnerships teams to shape product strategy, craft Go-To-Market strategy, communications and readiness for new products and synthesize global market feedback.
  • Define and shape Go-To-Market plans, execute communication documents, lead experiments/trusted tester programs, and quarterly forecasting.
  • Represent creator and partner feedback to influence product roadmaps, be a product expert, and serve as a consultant for the business and partnerships teams. Drive operational excellence, including setting and tracking OKRs and driving annual business planning.  
  • Own program management and contribute to analysis and intel for strategic projects and, develop exec-level business cases to unlock spend, define business strategy or support strategic shifts.
  • Gather market intelligence and conduct analyses/modeling to develop insights (e.g.,  product/program data analysis (SQL, spreadsheets), dashboarding, and deck building).
