Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in product management across the entire development life cycle.
  • Experience with threat detection engineering.

  • Experience developing and scaling SaaS products/technologies.
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

This role is focused on threat detection, specifically managing the detection engine and user experience road map for Google Security Operations. The applicant will have experience in threat detection engineering and incident response. You will partner with our Security Operations (SecOps) engineering team, the Cloud Security Go-to-Market (GTM) team, and various internal stakeholders to help evolve the detection engine that powers customer- and Google-created threat detection logic.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Understand cybersecurity markets, competition, and user requirements.
  • Deliver the entire life cycle for new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Help manage the overall road map by identifying new opportunities and effectively prioritizing requests from customers, partners, engineering teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Marketing, Legal, UX, and other cross-functional teams on technologies.
  • Advocate your product internally (including senior leadership updates) and externally (Google events, public events, press releases).
