Governance Program Manager, Extended Workforce, Risk and Compliance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance, or a related area.
  • Experience with governance principles and in developing and implementing governance frameworks and controls.
  • Experience working with teams horizontally across multiple stakeholder groups.

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA/CIA, Audit, Legal or related certification.
  • Experience executing on large complex projects and initiatives on time and with quality.
  • Experience with governance program management and breadth in analytics skills.
  • Understanding of the current and evolving landscape of risk and regulatory compliance for technology companies.

gTech’s Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team enables the organization to effectively and efficiently scale their extended workforce operations while managing risk. Our goal is to enable our businesses to make informed decisions to put the right talent in the right locations. With our strategic oversight of the extended workforce portfolio, we deliver process simplicity, clear policy, and controls to support Google through the life cycle of extended workforce engagements.

The xWS Risk & Compliance (R&C) team acts as a second line of defense, providing guidance and controls to manage risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect Google's reputation in its global extended workforce engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and/or maintain comprehensive governance frameworks, policies and procedures aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver clear and concise communications regarding governance programs, policies, and procedures, driving socialization of the governance narrative. Act as R&C’s governance lead and liaison with other second and third line of defense partners.
  • Effectively collaborate, communicate, educate and influence policy, process and control owners to improve process, drive program adoption, and achieve desired outcomes. Lead and manage governance-related projects and initiatives, while providing guidance and support on governance matters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the extended workforce lifecycle, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness (i.e. operationalize and scale).
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, analyze data, and generate reports to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights.
