Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with software development in programming languages Kotlin or TypeScript.

In the Kids Account Lifecycle team, our mission is to improve infrastructure and user experience for Google accounts for minors.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on assigned technical tasks to make tactical contributions for projects that push forward the Kids Account Lifecycle mission.
  • Set up or improve test/monitoring/survey infrastructure or processes. Consider code health and system maintainability and scalability over time. Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Write product or system development code for sub-tasks with some guidance. Conduct testing on code, design code to allow for easy testing, and write test case descriptions. Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
