UX Strategist, Mastery Team

Minimum qualifications:

About the job

The Mastery Team develops and delivers product and skills training to Google sales and services teams, as well as external client and agency partners. We use our knowledge of learning best practices and Google’s business priorities to build effective learning experiences for our key audiences. Our team is made up of passionate learning professionals, sales and marketing leaders, and former consultants and analysts who launch and iterate learning programs while balancing key pillars of knowledge, skills, and disciplined practice to help our audiences grow in a world of increasing complexity.

As a UX Strategist, you will be responsible for creating design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that help achieve business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product and Engineering to analyze user needs and help identify innovative design solutions. You will apply essential design principles, patterns, and systems and use design tools and processes to develop design artifacts like user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes. You will communicate design strategies to peers as well as leadership and participate in peer-to-peer design critiques. You will invest in understanding Mastery’s learning and development technology ecosystem, and you will use key metrics to evaluate the impact of the design solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Create design deliverables (e.g., user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes) for implementation.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and experience with Google's UX principles, user-centered product development methodologies, as well as the engaged landscape and apply that knowledge to shape Mastery’s technology ecosystem.
  • Own and influence the design of a suite of tools used by internal and external users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to prioritize UX design opportunities.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to specification and respond effectively to evolving design constraints.
