Head of Business Intelligence Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in software sales and account management at a business-to-business (B2B) software company.
  • 5 years of experience managing and developing a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Solution-based sales and managing business cycles with a focus on business intelligence.
  • Experience in achieving BI Sales goals in a Specialist Sales capacity.
  • Experience in BI Solutions sales.
  • Experience in promoting cloud computing technologies to organizations across geographies.
  • Ability to build relationships with Google Cloud Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) and Customer Engineers (CEs) and also directly with C-level executives across the business and IT business units, ensure customer engagement and consumption, leading to business growth.

About the job

As the Head of Business Intelligence Sales for Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC), you contribute to the development of the overall account strategy or goals across a region or multiple business areas, ensuring it is equipped to enable business growth opportunities. You work cross-functionally with multiple lines of businesses, including BI SS, Field Sales Representative (FSR), Customer Engineer (CE) and Partners to maximize business impact and open up opportunities with our and most tactical customers. You will identify, own, and lead teams through, multi-dimensional pieces of work across several products, client areas, or markets, and anticipate rapidly evolving Business Intelligence (BI) market technologies and trends, educating FSRs, CEs, clients and partners on these indicators. You also engage in Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the BI Business to Executives in Management Business Reviews and Executive Forecast calls.
  • Manage delivery of solutions to customer business issues and technical requirements, and map to the appropriate Google solution. Leverage repeatable business plays as applicable and opportunities to update industry pitches based on customer conversations. 
  • Manage the executive relationships with customers, influence direction, and act as a trusted advisor. Establish collaborative cross-functional relationships with Sales, Customer Engineering, Partners, Marketing, and other roles to drive results.
  • Build, coach, motivate a team of BI Sales Managers and Sales Specialists. Manage the team day-to-day, offering support for critical business opportunities and career mentorship.
  • Work with Engineering and Product Management to ensure that customer needs are represented in the BI Product Roadmap, raise requirements, and engaged in Account escalations.
