  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
  • Experience managing project timelines and deliverables.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

In this role, you will be responsible for building networking solutions and networking abstractions (GKE, GDC and Anthos platforms) to drive solution integration and validation efforts for our partners and customers.

As the Kubernetes Networking Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for developing cutting-edge networking solutions and abstractions for Google Cloud Platform (GKE, GDC, and Anthos). Your team will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and validation of our offerings for partners and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full life cycle of Software development for Kubernetes Networking solutions, from ideation to scaling. Deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of GKE, Google Kubernetes Engine, Platform, including AI/ML.
  • Establish clear objectives, break down complex problems into manageable milestones, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
  • Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation across complex engineering initiatives.
  • Promote software development practices with an emphasis on code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
