Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 15 years of experience working in the tech industry or a relevant research/analytical field
- 10 years of experience leading and managing teams
- 10 years of technical experience working with product and engineering teams and delivering business judgment to executive leaders
- Experience managing global teams and working across multiple regions and time zones
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, PhD, MBA) in a related field (e.g., Analytical, Technical, Operations Management)
- Experience creating metrics, tools, and dashboards and building out executive level reporting to allow for data-driven business management and decision making
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based data platforms
- Experience managing multiple senior stakeholders and a ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Excellent global leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Open, engaging, and collaborative working style
About the job
As Director of YouTube’s Trust and Safety (T&S), Business Analytics and Reporting team, you will define the outlook and strategy around business analytics and reporting supporting YouTube Trust and Safety, a global team of content moderators on 4 continents. You will be an expert in analytical and operational leadership, leading a team of data analysts and program managers across 4 global offices.
In this role, you will contribute to the broader YouTube T&S cross-functional team including Operations, Product, Engineering, and Product Operations, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement within the team. You will drive insights necessary to lead this function as well as operating metrics to ensure consistency, efficiency, and risk control points for compliance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $246,000-$354,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Define the outlook and roadmap for YouTube's Trust and Safety Business Analytics and Reporting team, aligning with the broader YouTube Trust and Safety strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data analysts and program managers across multiple global locations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive metrics, tools, and dashboards to track operational performance, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of Trust and Safety initiatives.
- Deliver key insights across the Trust and Safety cross-functional department to enable the right business decisions. Build executive-level reporting to support executive leadership.
- Work with the Data Engineering team to influence the prioritization of necessary infrastructure to meet goals and objectives and align with Data Science teams to establish consistent measurement methodologies and leverage advanced analytical techniques.
