Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in telecommunications industries, including 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
- 6 years of experience managing and building teams.
- Experience in data networking architectures and physical network components within technological environments.
- Experience in data center operations and telecom infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in program management, multi-project prioritization, and the application of process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to lead geographically distributed teams, navigate ambiguity, and influence stakeholders across a broad, cross-functional organization.
- Excellent people management and presentation skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across global teams.
About the job
As a Network Implementation Engineer, you will be the initial point of our efforts to execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will work with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, Field Engineers within Google, as well as construction and telecommunications vendors and contractors, all to position your team and organization for success.
You will facilitate faster, better, and more efficient, positive outcomes for the business and our customers. Your objective will be to build the world’s most reliable, cost-effective and scalable network to support all of our current and future customers and users globally.
As a Manager of a Network Delivery Implementation Team you will lead a geographically distributed team of highly skilled engineers instrumental in delivering and supporting Google's large-scale networking infrastructure across various data center metros. You will oversee physical infrastructure deployment, focusing on velocity, reducing toil, and meeting cycle times to build capacity for internal and enterprise customers. You will drive scalability and consistent delivery against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while ensuring operational safety and a premium customer experience. Beyond team leadership, you will also drive global programs and initiatives to optimize field engineering processes and accelerate project delivery through business process innovation. You're equally at home explaining analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs with engineers.

Responsibilities
- Manage a global network delivery team, overseeing recruitment, coaching, and career development to foster high-performing engineering talent.
- Direct resource allocation and prioritize complex, multi-project programs to ensure scalable, high-quality delivery and optimized cycle times.
- Set team direction and OKRs while nurturing cross-functional partnerships to drive organizational transformation and remove delivery obstacles.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging business process optimization to accelerate field engineering workflows.
- Lead the integration of AI-driven tools and workflow automation to enhance operational efficiency and output quality.
