Senior Technical Program Manager, Storage Infrastructure, Cloud AI Systems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with new product introduction across software or hardware products (e.g., launching chips and chip design).
  • Experience building, automating, and developing distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience across hardware engineering, software engineering, and computer hardware.
  • Experience with storage technologies such as Solid State Drive (SSD), Hard Disk Drive (HDD), or Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe).

About the job

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use technical knowledge to lead multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will also be responsible for explaining the team's analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Set the goal and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives, evaluating and supervising multiple projects, organizing cross-project work within the program, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
  • Lead storage NPI's that involve technologies, servers/accelerator design, development and deployment to data centers at scale with software stack for cloud.
  • Drive project delivery, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus. 
  • Engage with engineering directors, product leaders, and other technical program management groups to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and deliver timely releases.
