Principal Agency and Partners Lead, MENA (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting or media.
  • Experience in end-to-end project management.
  • Experience working with or in advertising agencies.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to engage with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing operational, annual planning, setting and tracking OKRs, distributing workloads, and resolving day-to-day tactical hurdles.
  • Extensive experience in account management and strategic engagement is essential.
  • Ability to influence and engage with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, driving alignment and achieving results.
  • Strong coaching skills to guide output quality, identify upskilling opportunities (such as AI or Product trainings), and oversee the onboarding of new team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

As a part of the Principal A&P Lead, you will manage your own portfolio of agencies with leading the team's daily operations, which includes end-to-end planning, project allocation, and providing continuous coaching and mentorship.

As a part of this structure, responsibilities are divided between the Principal A&P Lead and the Head of Competitive Strategy and Partnerships, where the Principal A&P Lead handles tactical problem-solving and day-to-day team management, while the Head retains responsibility for formal performance evaluations, HR escalations, and broader strategic oversight.

In this role, as a Principal A&P Lead, you will maintain tight alignment with the Head through frequent updates and communication, resolving everyday process friction independently and escalating only systemic issues for the Head's final review and sign-off.Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously focus on how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We help these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team’s annual planning, Objectives and Key Results (OKR) setting, and weekly excellence management, while tracking quarterly milestones and maintaining reporting integrity.
  • Define and assign projects with clear individual roles and responsibilities to ensure balanced workload distribution, while ensuring continuous coverage of key agencies and business priorities, and seamless onboarding of new team members.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the team regarding day-to-day tactical queries, unblocking non-people-related hurdles and aligning with support teams for feedback/quality input.
  • Provide continuous coaching to team members, as well as define all quarterly learning goals beyond Global Business Organization Education (GBOEdu) (ie: AI Trainings, Product Trainings etc) to enhance output quality, professional skill sets, and best-practice sharing.
  • Lead specific strategic initiatives or oversee several led by co-workers.
