Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in partner management, a partner-facing role within TV/media or internet, or similar.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports, managing and developing teams.
  • Experience working with spreadsheet analysis, public presentations, and data management.
  • Experience in business development, consulting on media or internet agreements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the online, video or media industry.
  • Experience engaging with government and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience in project management or ability to deliver across a variety of teams.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management within Google and operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-moving, constantly-evolving team environment.
  • Ability to build, motivate and mentor teams, with effective operations and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills.

About the job

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As the Head of YouTube Canada, reporting to the VP, Partnerships for Canada/LATAM and Responsibility. You will oversee all Canadian operations and play a key part in the overall Canada/LATAM regional leadership.

You will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow the Canadian business, ensuring it contributes substantially to global goals.

You will manage critical vertical teams, such as Creator Partnerships, Media Co Partnerships, Responsibility Partnerships, and Scaled Partnerships

Beyond direct management, you will mentor and support core global functions with local teams in Canada, such as identifying challenges and advocating for the Canadian market opportunity to the global Head Quarter team in San Bruno.

You will be an active member of the Canada/LATAM and Responsibility Partnerships YouTube leadership team, driving cross-functional and cross-regional strategy coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Play a leadership role in defining content objectives and driving alignment across Marketing, Operations, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and partner relationships for our largest Entertainment partners and provide guidance and support in driving partner efforts across other relevant verticals.
  • Advocate internally across the organization on behalf of your partners. Develop and recommend business strategies working closely with cross-functional teams at Google and YouTube.
  • Define, analyze, and communicate partner metrics and develop account plan presentations for YouTube management and partners.
