Software Engineer, Search Content Studio Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages( e.g., C, C++, Java, Python), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience with industry-standard data processing paradigms such as ETL, including tools and implementations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience with data engineering technologies such as Apache Flume.
  • Experience working in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build the back-end infrastructure for Search Content Studio, the control plane for on-boarding and managing data ingestion, and processing in Search Content Platform.
  • Partner with horizontal teams to standardize services and make them observable and manageable (e.g., data acquisition, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), orchestration system, Targeted Web Data, etc.).
  • Partner with engineers in Search Vertical experience teams, Real World Journeys, and others to support and co-develop current and future Search product experiences.
  • Work with technology leads to define and evolve the charter of the area with a balanced portfolio of foundational investments, exploratory bets, and run the business priorities.
  • Implement data ingestion technical solutions with requirements.
