Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Business Development, Strategy development, Financial modeling and Contract negotiations.
  • Experience in managing complex partnerships.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative partnerships and influence product and cross-functional teams.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Android Better Together team is creating a more consistent, seamless, and intuitive experience across a range of devices that connect to Android. We are dedicated to building a future where Android users can easily discover, connect to, and leverage the full potential of their personal tech landscape.

We collaborate internally and externally with device manufacturers, accessory makers, and technology providers to integrate new products and services into the Android ecosystem, making devices work better together.

In this role, you will drive Android's multi-device and "Better Together" initiatives. You will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy to onboard and enable new partners for the device category. You will lead business development activities across a range of ecosystem partners - Silicon vendors, SIs, OEMs, and ODMs. You bring industry and technical expertise, strategic perspective, excellent business development skills, the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues, and attention to detail. You also possess distinctive analytical skills and the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic partnership plan for Android's Better Together initiatives, identifying key growth opportunities and market trends.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new strategic partners (e.g., device manufacturers, accessory makers) to expand and enhance the Android ecosystem.
  • Lead partnership agreements, including structuring, contract execution, developing custom agreements and new templates to formalize the provision of offerings and business relationships with new and existing partners.
  • Identify and develop new monetization models and value creation opportunities through strategic partnerships, building compelling business cases.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal Product, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing teams to align partner initiatives with broader goals.
