Strategic Partner Manager, YouTube Shopping (English, Spanish)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in sales or partnerships with brands, retailers, or affiliate networks/providers.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently in order to communicate with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience interpreting legal documents and negotiating commercial agreements with excellent entrepreneurial skills.
  • Understanding of the Spanish retail landscape, including local e-merchants, social commerce trends, and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of YouTube products with passion for YouTube.
  • Ability to launch and scale initiatives from scratch within ambiguous, changing environments and to translate global roadmaps into local strategies.
  • Excellent cross-functional leader capable of managing executive stakeholders and navigating structured organizations.

YouTube Shopping is a nascent shoptainment destination where viewers are inspired by products from their favorite creators and brands. Given our unique user intent and creator engagement, Shopping is now a top-four priority for YouTube. This mission sits within the Spanish Content Partnerships team, where we adapt this global priority to the local market by bridging the gap between content and seamless commerce. We ensure YouTube Shopping resonates authentically with the unique cultural and market dynamics of the Spanish ecosystem.

In this role, you will be building an affiliate program that enables creators to earn commissions from merchants. You will lead merchant recruitment and drive engagement initiatives, working closely with Product and Engineering to set partnership strategies. Your responsibilities will include negotiating first-of-their-kind agreements and managing partnerships.

You will work cross-functionally with Legal, Content Partnerships and Strategy. Beyond expert execution, you will serve as a resource, representing the market to influence product roadmaps and leading go-to-market efforts for partner-related launches.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. Responsibilities

  • Define partnership strategy to help achieve YouTube’s Shopping goals, starting with creator business generation.
  • Partner with brands and retailers to facilitate agreements and drive engagement with new product features and marketing activations.
  • Be a domain expert and thought leader for your areas, understanding unique market dynamics and engaged landscapes.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external partners, including negotiating agreements and partner management.
  • Incubate new products and formats, ensuring that critical partner feedback gets back to the cross-functional team to optimize product development.
