Business Intelligence Analyst, Google Shopping Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in SQL.
  • Experience with presenting to executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in technical consulting or project/program management in corporate IT, professional IT services, or product development.
  • Experience with building scripts and apps using JavaScript/Apps Script.
  • Ability to drive business intelligence project outcomes.
  • Ability to build new business intelligence processes and methods, anticipating and addressing future issues, and lead end-to-end BI infrastructure projects.

About the job

Our goal is to provide the Google Shopping Solutions (GSS) Sales team with a scalable infrastructure that powers all business aspects from day-to-day customer-facing interactions, to team and portfolio management, to strategy building and KPI reporting.

In this role, you will be required to connect the dots across multiple functions and manage end-to-end development (i.e. from an idea to project proposal to SQL query to CRM integration to leadership updates to sales team-facing training). You will be familiar with an entrepreneurial environment, and be comfortable with fast-paced decisions, unprecedented ambiguity, and a breadth of responsibilities in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the GSS business intelligence strategy and agenda, define key areas of work and deliver on projects.
  • Lead end-to-end development of our key BI infrastructure projects; conduct requirements gathering and project scoping with stakeholders; design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and tools to support stakeholders, and collaborate across multiple business functions to drive progress.
  • Build and maintain BI infrastructure; define local best practices for data pipelines, dashboards, and code review, build new processes and provide cross-functional support on data use and report maintenance.
  • Make changes to and launch data products, navigating testing, approvals, and user feedback.
  • Help the GSS business become a data driven organization; build and maintain tools to automate analyses and insights, translate complex metrics and analyses into actionable insights for supported teams.
