Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in hardware project management in consumer products through the entire life cycle with cross-functional teams.
- 5 years of experience in Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)/Autofocus (AF) camera module project management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in consumer electronics, phones, and camera hardware development.
- Experience with product development, project management, or engineering management.
- Knowledge of camera hardware development, manufacturing processes, and collaboration with Contract Manufacturers (CM).
- Ability to lead the collaboration among technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors.
- Excellent communication, organizational execution, and leadership skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead Pixel camera hardware projects from product definition stage till design lock for mass production with cross-functional teams.
- Manage development of camera hardware modules and drive the overall execution and strategy of the team for one or more systems and communicate project status to stakeholders with leadership.
- Lead camera module hardware development schedule, project phase gate reviews, and resolution on key technical issues with the cross-functional teams and vendors to meet system build milestones, cost, and manufacturability.
- Implement process improvements to streamline module development, and identify and manage risks and make judgments about quality.
