Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management.
- Experience in leading construction EHS efforts for multi-site projects globally.
- Experience in safety management solutions to prevent the development of negative trends.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in Safety Professionals or other related Environmental Health and Safety certifications.
- 10 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management.
- 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Knowledge of the project management process and basic construction agreement structures.
- Experience with working in operational data centers with safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives across a defined area. You will work with Google Data Center partners, general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades and organizations, integrators, fabricators, and commissioning agents to improve the EHS programs and performance on our projects. You will engage in pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors, update the project manual, and communicate EHS expectations. You will be involved in planning, risk mitigation, and on-time delivery. You will be responsible for establishing and tracking a set of performance metrics, developing and implementing best practices including lessons learned, and reporting out to stakeholders to help the organization scale.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and ownership of the EHS program for area construction and oversight and data collection.
- Ensure that contractors deliver on program safety performance expectations and agreement requirements, providing solutions to issues.
- Monitor, advise, and assist the construction project teams to protect people, environment, and ensure compliance.
- Drive a culture that embraces a learning approach and aligns with organizational strategies including goals and objectives.
- Liaise with the Construction EHS team to ensure best practices are implemented, progress reported, trends and data captured and analyzed, and risks mitigated ensuring that the operational capacity of a live Data Center is not compromised.
