Regional Analyst, YouTube Intelligence Desk

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in intelligence collection and analysis in a government intelligence organization or business environment.
- Ability to communicate in English and Hindi fluently, to help implement and enforce our policies of content videos in these languages.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of Indian events; political, economic, and cultural drivers of global conflicts, and how social media impacts contentious issues.
- Knowledge of YouTube and the social media ecosystem, to include online abuse.
- Excellent collaboration, analytic, writing, and critical-thinking skills.

In this role, you will be a key member of the Intel Desk’s regionally focused intelligence team, charged with identifying and assessing trends in India to determine their impact on YouTube content. You will work with cross-functional teams across Trust and Safety and YouTube to get ahead of content trends, making YouTube a safer place for users.

Responsibilities
- Understand the social, political, and cultural context in India to anticipate and analyze potential YouTube content implications.
- Build knowledge in the Indian YouTube ecosystem and develop familiarity with video and channel content.
- Communicate nuanced analysis to executive management and cross-functional stakeholders in order to drive prioritization and risk mitigation decisions.
- Support operational counterparts during fast-moving and ambiguous situations to assist in the mitigation of content risk on YouTube.
