About the job

The Google Cloud team helps companies, schools, and government seamlessly make the switch to Google products and supports them along the way. You listen to the customer and swiftly problem-solve technical issues to show how our products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. You work closely with a cross-functional team of web developers and systems administrators, not to mention a variety of both regional and international customers. Your relationships with customers are crucial in helping Google grow its Cloud business and helping companies around the world innovate.

As a Strategic Cloud Engineer on the Artificial Intelligence Catalyst Team (ACT), you will be the technical engine that drives the deployment and scaling of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions across Google Public Sector. You will work at the front lines of "greenfield" projects, taking AI prototypes and turning them into stable, production-ready applications within highly secure and restricted environments.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between core engineering and customer mission success. You will be responsible for building the infrastructure, automation, and delivery patterns that allow our public sector customers to leverage AI safely and efficiently. This is a high-growth role for an engineer who grows on solving technical hurdles and delivering tangible impact.

Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the deployment of full-stack AI prototypes and production-ready applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing customer systems.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers during the implementation phase, providing troubleshooting support and ensuring best practices in cloud architecture are followed.
  • Work closely with artificial intelligence/machine learning Engineers and Application Development Leads to refine technical documentation and ensure that solutions are optimized for the unique constraints of sovereign infrastructure.
  • Assist in "supercharging" artificial intelligence adoption by creating technical guides, documentation, and reference architectures that simplify the integration process for public sector partners.
