About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

YouTube Over-the-Top (OTT) brings traditional movies, shows, and sports to YouTube. We package and promote this content through products like YouTube TV and PrimeTime channels.

Our team is responsible for onboarding media companies, acquiring their premium TV content and metadata, modeling it, understanding and enriching it, packaging it, and ultimately publishing it to serving systems.

As the Product Lead for Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) infrastructure in OTT, you will be responsible for defining and driving the product goal, strategy, and roadmap for MediaCo onboarding and scaled TVOD content management to bring the world's premium movies and shows. You’ll be directly accountable for the growth of MediaCos at YouTube and the quantity, quality, and richness of their video and metadata.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we share and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and assess partner and market research, analyze data, and stay abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities and unmet content, distribution, and business generation needs for MediaCos and emerging sports leagues.
  • Develop and deliver a road-map that enables MediaCos to easily onboard their content to YouTube with a range of business generation options, prioritize what is most impactful for these partners and our OTT business, and ensures a seamless and high-quality end-user experience.
  • Translate partner needs and business goals into detailed product specifications and use cases. Own the end-to-end product from partner onboarding to content management and quality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and partnerships, to build and deliver features on the product road-map.
  • Oversee the launch of new features and products, and continuously iterate based on partner feedback, data analysis, and KPIs.
