Minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with Policy, Regulatory Affairs, or Compliance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in creating, analyzing, and reporting metrics for programs.
  • Ability to understand, digest and synthesize policy and regulatory language, and translate it into tangible implications that inform product development and GTM activities.
  • Excellent partner management and communication skills and the ability to balance multiple relationships and partners.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Program Manager to lead the successful, compliant, and responsible launch of our Generative AI products targeting sensitive user populations users under the age of 18 (e.g., in K-12/Education markets).

In this role, you will ensure that our innovative AI technology adheres to global child privacy and data protection laws while delivering an impactful user experience. You will manage, cross-functional programs from concept to global scale, with either the experience or at minimum interest in compliance frameworks relevant to youth data.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Product and Engineering teams to embed privacy, security, compliance, and accessibility requirements into the product design and development life-cycle.
  • Translate legal and policy requirements (e.g., data handling, model governance, content filtering) into GTM materials and oversee their implementation.
  • Partner with Kids and Family, Trust and Safety on Education related launches.
  • Partner with product teams to understand their roadmap and flag any hot topic issues that will be an issue for Education in the development phase. Own the delivery of the features, anticipate the questions sales and customers will have as it relates to.
  • Identify, track, and manage all program risks and dependencies, data privacy, safety, and legal compliance.
