Head of Mid-Market Sales, Google Customer Solutions, Market (Dutch, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Experience leading a sales team or developing sales professionals.
  • Experience working with clients in the Netherlands region.
  • Ability to communicate in Dutch and English fluently to support client
    relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics or E-Commerce or Lead Gen, and a track record in commercial teams (e.g.,sales, marketing).
  • Ability to own sales team operations in the Netherlands, portfolio management, team building, KPI measurement, and execution.
  • Ability to model and coach sales behaviors, including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive promoting.
  • Demonstrate a passion to work and grow on immersion in a rapidly changing environment, with problem-solving and investigative skills.

The Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team is a critical growth engine for medium-size clients in GCS in Benelux. Through long-term relationship development, we are dedicated to understanding the business goals by providing advertising solutions to drive business success. We are responsible for increasing advertising business and product adoption growth by educating, promoting solutions and pitching with clients directly.

In this role, you will lead a sales team to help them in understanding our advertisers needs and deliver measurable solutions for business growth. You will enable the team to exceed business and product goals and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), managing portfolios of diverse businesses at various stages and set the goal for the team to transform the customers and business. You will own the strategy, planning, and execution of team-wide account growth and contribute to the direction of the Mid-Market Sales team. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to train and motivate the team, and investigative approach to sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate and develop a client-facing and sales team of account strategists and account executives.
  • Deliver against aspiring business and product growth goals, grow engagement and client satisfaction for a portfolio of medium businesses in an assigned market.
  • Analyse data, trends, and client performance with your teams to develop plans for customers while tracking activity and provide detailed data analysis weekly, driving consistent CRM tracking.
  • Coach and Model sales behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling and promoting. 
  • Lead and strengthen executive-level relationships through key C-level meetings, business reviews and speaking engagements.
