Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design of flexible and foldable Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) panels, considering intricate bend radii, repeated folding cycles, and dynamic stresses.
  • Conduct advanced finite element analysis (FEA) simulations to predict and optimize the structural integrity, stress distribution, and deformation of OLED panels under various loading conditions (e.g., bending, impact, pressure, thermal cycling).
  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of OLED panel components and assemblies, adhering to design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Perform comprehensive strength analysis of panel components, including glass, thin-film encapsulation (TFE), flexible substrates, and interconnects, to identify potential failure modes and design robust solutions.
  • Work with the process engineering team, to ensure the manufacturability of mechanical designs and optimize production yields.
