Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience working in a data center class hardware systems development technical environment with focus on thermal design, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a focus on Thermal Engineering.
- 5 years of experience with system design leadership or hardware team management.
- Experience solving mechanical or thermal engineering issues.
- Experience leading high performance teams for breakthrough results and capable of attracting, motivating, and energizing teams.
- Ability to work with and lead cross-functional project teams effectively.
- Exceptional problem solving, communication and organizational skills, coupled with a well-focused attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Build up and lead the Thermal Engineering team supporting Google’s infrastructure development team in Taiwan.
- Understand technology roadmaps and make sure the team is well positioned to support programs. Drive priorities and assignments of the team members.
- Work with the engineering team to gather requirements, identify and scope innovation opportunities and technology risks, and contribute to overall system architecture for new server, storage and machine learning platforms. Review and approve the detailed designs.
- Work closely with the Technical Program Manager team to create program plans and then provide technical leadership and direction on project development.
- Work with Manufacturing, Product, and Deployment teams to produce designs and field support.
