Program Manager, Cloud Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in program management working on cross-functional programs.
  • 5 years of experience working with business intelligence platforms and tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Ability to understand infrastructure and engage in scoping conversations.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Cloud Data and Analytics is a growing area in Google Cloud, with an extensive portfolio of leading products across BigQuery, Streams and Lakes, and Cloud Business Intelligence. Customers leverage Google Cloud’s Data and Analytics platform to build intelligence and insights and transform their business. A key part of the Data and Analytics portfolio is Business Intelligence offerings that enables users to explore, find, embed, and share business insights from their data in real time.

Responsibilities

  • Set the scope and direction for programs by outlining goals and objectives, manage multiple projects, organize cross-project work within the program, and define program controls/governance/standards.
  • Enable execution across multiple teams, drive delivery, collaborate to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage OKRs, and help the team in execution.
  • Engage with partner teams on the program to align on scoping, seeking escalation help, resolving discrepancies on program status, and communicating program status.
  • Build relationships with Engineering, Site Reliability Engineer, Product Management, and Engineering Productivity teams.
