Minimum qualifications:

Google's leadership team hand-picks thorny business issues, and members of BizOps work in small teams to find solutions. As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, roll-up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations.

As a YouTube team member, you will bring knowledge of our products, spanning both ad and consumer, with a primary but not exclusive focus on YouTube. You will apply problem-solving, technical and analytical skills to drive impactful, convincing and principled business decisions always grounded in data, these will include ad hoc questions from the business, as well as multi-year projects to evolve Global Business Organization (GBO’s) priorities, strategy, and metrics.

In this role, you will bring all these skills together in the service of supporting key business decisions. You will also be adept at building strong cross-functional relationships with various stakeholders and using data to influence strategy and outcomes. You will report into the Senior Business Data Scientist Manager leading YouTube+ efforts as both are based in San Bruno.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of data-driven analysis projects within a technical team to guide and support decision making for YouTube.
  • Build relationships with the YouTube team and present the Finance Point of View (POV) in various decision-making forums.
  • Design infrastructure and tooling to assess the value customers derive from YouTube products (such as DemandGen and Brand), and identify opportunities to accelerate budgets.
  • Build tooling to decompose growth drivers and surface areas of opportunity across all regions and channels.
  • Drive the development of next-generation opportunity sizing methods and tooling, collaborate with partner teams (e.g. Brand Planner) to deliver consistent, high-quality work to leaders and sellers, including contributing to the statistical incrementality workstream and co-developing new methodologies with Econ.
