Business Development Manager, Core (Mandarin, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in client management and business or a related role.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to collaborate with local clients and regional partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in mobile apps with the knowledge of applications development, distribution platforms, business models, and value chains.
  • Experience of Apps and Games industry in Greater China and Asia-Pacific (APAC).
  • Ability to manage and support Apps and Games developers.
  • Excellent networking skills, with the ability to collaborate with partners at all levels.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

In this role, you will cultivate and grow relationships with app developers in Greater China, empowering them to build businesses on the Android platform and Google Play.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the partnership strategy for Torso app and game developers in Greater China, identify and prioritize opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Provide data-motivated insights and guidance to partners, helping them optimize their apps business on Google Play.
  • Advocate for Google Play and Android, drive adoption of products and features among partners.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring market trends, engaging landscape, and emerging opportunities in the apps and games industry.
