Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working with SQL or other scripting languages.
- 2 years of experience in program management in supply chain/procurement/logistics/operations or a similar function.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and navigate in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment.
- Sound business judgment and ability to influence effectively by presenting data in a compelling way.
- Advanced analytical & problem solving skills, including use of spreadsheets/Google sheets.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Data Center Planning team optimizes the delivery and allocation of Google's fleet of data center capacity, based on long-term growth projections for internal and external needs. DCP is part of the global organization responsible for AI enablement and infrastructure delivery.
Teams across Google rely on this team to guide timing and priorities of land acquisition, seed funding (including campus plan activities), offsite utility infrastructure, long-lead equipment, and construction investments. This team prepares scenarios that look at a variety of possibilities -- across products, use cases, locations, and chips -- and drives our infrastructure investments in the short, medium, and long-term.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects; planning requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire lifecycle. This includes managing schedules, identifying risks and communicating goals to project stakeholders as your projects span offices and time zones and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.
- Ensure that Google has the right amount of data center capacity to meet the needs of our product areas.
- Collaborate with all organizational levels to define project requirements for new processes and software systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive decision making, and plan for scalable, efficient, and predictable growth.
- Provide matrix leadership across functional teams, lead complex projects to successful completion, evaluate capacity forecast data and understand complex technical topics affecting Google services and users.
