Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience of working in the media industry or similar content-driven industry.
  • Knowledge of and passion for technology, and a strong track record using technology and online tools in innovative ways.
  • Ability to manage various concurrent projects with timely deliverables and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Global Partnerships is responsible for exploring opportunities with Google's partners. The team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business and supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more.

The Global News Partnerships Team represents a one Google news ecosystem in order to source content used across Google product areas, provide critical support and funding to the ecosystem, drive adoption of Google products, and shape constructive regulation that is in the best interests of Google and the ecosystem.

The Global News Programs team is part of an international effort to accelerate the digital transformation of a news ecosystem through Google’s services, products, partnerships and secure reliable information for our users. Working with cross-functional teams across the Google News Initiative, our specific focus areas are: Responsible AI;, Emerging Voices in News and training and tools to help Drive Publisher Growth.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of new training resources and ecosystem programs in North America and Latin America - with a focus on Responsible AI, Emerging Voices in News and efforts to Drive Publisher Growth.
  • Coordinate strategic operations and projects, assisting with budgeting and spending exercises.
  • Create comprehensive launch frameworks and toolkits to ensure project success.
  • Establish and monitor robust metrics to assess program impact, scalability, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to launch new initiatives and targeted pilot programs.
