Product Manager, Google Cloud Storage

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
  • Experience in Cloud storage and the overall public cloud ecosystem including customer requirements, market trends, and competitive positioning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Hardware/Operations/Logistics.
  • Experience developing or launching products/technologies within Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience across multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering and product marketing.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you are responsible for providing the core Storage products in Cloud like Cloud Storage, File Solutions, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Storage Management and Data Transfer Solutions. You are also responsible for the Storage infrastructure that is the foundation for all of Google including products like Google Search, Ads, Youtube, Photos, Workspace, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer context and market context to refine and evolve product strategy long-term goal for Google Cloud storage, transfer appliances and transfer services in this new and rapidly evolving area.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to establish and execute against a product roadmap designed to scale the business in annual business, customer satisfaction while working with distributed hardware/ software/operations teams.
  • Build strong relationships and influence priorities with key internal partners (e.g., Data Center Ops, Networking, Storage) to ensure transfer solutions meet customer needs.
  • Partner effectively with Go-to-Market teams (Sales, Marketing, Solutions Architects) to define clear GTM strategies, enable the field, provide channels for customer acquisition, and accelerate business growth and adoption.
