Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting compliance directives.
  • Experience with risk management or compliance in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, public sector, healthcare).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with cloud engineering practices.
  • Experience with prompt engineering.
  • Experience with Infrastructure systems, security assessments, and security processes.
  • Ability to engage a globally distributed team with periodic work outside of core business hours.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The team provides strategic compliance direction and partners with Cloud teams to increase customer trust and promote regulatory resilience. The team also works with stakeholders to support shaping future regulation and improve compliance posture to unlock markets and impact business growth.

The role sits at the intersection of understanding regulatory obligations, technical/governance capabilities, evidence compliance, and informing the necessary operational activities. The goal is to transform how a growing share of the world’s organizations in industries including health, energy, telecoms and public sector protect themselves and their customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Cultivate trusted partnerships with Cloud product teams and stakeholders to enable decision making pertaining to compliance challenges.
  • Partner with Cloud CISO teams on controls across their life-cycle to fulfill regulatory requirements.
  • Apply analytical problem-solving in a Cloud computing context that supports disambiguating regulations and their requirements.
  • Manage concurrent interactions with a geographically distributed team.
  • Support stakeholders in designing appropriate remediation plans for Cloud products and services to meet regulatory requirements.
