Strategic New Business Development Leader, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Sales roles
  • 10 years of experience in promoting and selling cloud computing technologies to organizations, especially financial services organizations and banks, and telecom players.
  • Experience with leading cross-functional teams internally and externally, and with executives at customer, or partner organizations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 15 years of Field Sales experience in the traditional enterprises industries, promoting Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
  • Experience working across multiple organizations to drive complex initiatives to resolution
  • Experience in leading teams through growth and change, with a goal of the future to ensure Google Cloud continues to meet the clients where they need us.
  • Understanding of GCP’s technology and strategic agreement cycles.
  • Knowledge of AI Natives and of the emerging India AI tech stack.
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to successfully operate at a fast pace, high-impact work environment.

The Strategic New Business Development Leader, is a highly visible leadership role in a fast-growing, quick-moving area of Google’s business.

As Strategic New Business Development leader, you will be responsible to drive exponential business growth for Google Cloud through strategic partnerships across GCP’s GTM segments and verticals. This leadership role will collaborate across field sales, tech specialists, pre-sales, capacity, product, engineering and finance to develop and grow long-term partnerships and operate at the C-Level internally and externally. You will be responsible for engaging C-level partner executives to build a strategic partnership, presenting strategic proposals to C-level partner executives, structuring contractual relationships, and representing Google Cloud and the commitment to partnerships and the customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and craft strategic large agreement acquisition through new business development initiatives across verticals and GTM segments.
  • Drive and grow AI Infra business for Google Cloud through new, expanded or accelerated TPU partnerships and strategic customer engagements across GCP’s GTM segments.
  • Lead Google Cloud’s most strategic and complex agreement cycles with a customer-first mindset, strong sense of ownership and accountability for the success of the partnership.
  • Serve as thought leader and strategic advisor to Google Cloud’s executive management and represent Google Cloud in industry and customer and partner events.
  • Drive strategic Go-to-market (GTM) and commercial initiatives to accelerate short- and long-term growth for Google’s Cloud business. Build and deepen trusted relationships with the C-Suite of GCP’s most strategic customers, influence long-term strategic direction, and serve as a business partner.
