Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- 1 year of experience with Cloud Computing or with Linux development environment.

ChromeOS Engineering Infra & Ops (EIO) covers all the engineering productivity aspects of ChromeOS. Our mission is making ChromeOS easy to change, hard to break and ship efficiently.
We are responsible for the build, test, and release infrastructure of ChromeOS. This includes improving ChromeOS developer productivity, raising the product quality bar, improving device lifecycle efficiency, ensuring that the testing infrastructure is reliable and scalable.
As part of EIO the ChromeOS Release & Device Lifecycle Efficiency team works on enabling the internal and partner workflows needed to ship ChromeOS hardware and software scalably and efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
- Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
- Mentor and train other team members on design techniques, and coding standards.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Triage/debug/track/resolve issues to maintain system operational excellence. Contribute to documentation or educational content based on system updates and user feedback.
