EMEA Engineering Excellence Lead, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in developing and implementing programs (technical sales processes) between technical sales and engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in the enterprise technology space, including customer needs into solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in technical sales, program management, or technical strategy in a hyperscaler or consulting environment.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and implement initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and influence executive leadership.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT space.
  • Ability to grow in ambiguity in a dynamic, matrixed environment.

As the EMEA Engineering Excellence Lead, you will be responsible for the execution of Customer Engineering (CE) role excellence and critical CE execution processes in EMEA. You will have an opportunity to influence how we ensure EMEA CEs can operate efficiently and effectively to deliver Google Cloud to our customers.

In this role, you will adapt the global technical development strategy and engagement practices for the CE organization to the EMEA region. You will play a role in implementing programmatic initiatives that enhance CE effectiveness, such as the CE Proficiency Framework, and advocate for solutions that address critical technical sales challenges on behalf of our customers and sales teams. You will represent the region with the global Engineering Excellence team and build relationships with Cloud Engineering to ensure that the needs of EMEA Customer Engineering are heard and prioritized.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage global processes that align to the Customer Engineering and Principal Architect roles deployed around the world, and make them work for EMEA.
  • Partner with EMEA CE leadership to understand field CE requirements, and enable strategy for growth and development of the technical field.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to ensure the needs of EMEA Customer Engineering are heard and prioritized.
  • Advocate for solutions that address critical technical sales roadblocks on behalf of our customers and sales teams.
