As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Capacity and Demand planning team in Cloud manages demand planning for the Google Cloud Platform, machine learning demand, shared services demand for Google product areas, data center power forecasting, and data science for multiple teams within Cloud. The team partners with Google product areas, supply chain execution, data center planning and construction, specialized machine learning and Cloud infrastructure planning teams, and Cloud leadership to optimize both speed and efficiency as Google grows and creates data center capacity for consumers and enterprises.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$311,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Become a leader within Google and industry on the subject matter domain in capacity and demand (infrastructure) planning for Cloud, ML, and data center power.
  • Lead technology and operational change across the domain and interact with other partner teams.
  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management, whereby improvements are measurable and the impact can be felt organization wide. e.g., redeployment of machine and people resources leading to efficiency and utilization gains (mapping to the concept of Resource Stewardship). 
  • Drive measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity, and establish governance over prioritization decisions to ensure alignment with key performance indicators. 
  • Advocate responsibility for initiating and leading multiple organizations through pivots needed to address shifts in business trends and priorities.
