Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and lab protocols.
- Proficiency with lab equipment and testing procedures.
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$151,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Characterize materials and conduct prototype testing using a range of instruments and equipment, including Instron, DMA, rheometer, etc.
- Analyze and interpret test results, and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop testing procedures and methodologies that validate and achieve design objectives.
- Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to build comprehensive material property databases.
- Develop new testing protocols for evolving needs.
