Proposal Program Manager, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management, client services or management consulting.
  • 5 years of experience running the full proposal lifecycle.
  • Experience working on US Federal Government procurement processes and lifecycle.

Preferred qualifications:

  • APMP Foundation Certification.
  • Experience with national and regional government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and frameworks.
  • Experience with RFPIO or other standard proposal automation platform tools.
  • Experience with RFPIO or other standard proposal automation platform tool.
  • Technical writing expertise.
  • Active Security Clearance.

The Google Cloud Public Sector (GPS) team helps public sector customers transform and evolve their operations through the use of Google’s global network, web-scale data centers, and software infrastructure. As a Public Sector Proposal Program Manager you will support Google Cloud’s GPS sales and engineering teams in creating RFX responses that demonstrate the business value to customers. You work across numerous teams and time zones, leading and managing multiple RFX responses simultaneously driving proposal development while ensuring security and integrity of all documentation, coordinating internal flow and review of all proposal inputs, coordinating schedules, and conducting final master proposal production.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$234,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the RFx proposal response plan while coordinating with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, commercial, legal, compliance, etc.). Coach subject matter experts and other contributors in persuasive writing.
  • Write persuasive proposals conveying our offer while ensuring compliance. Edit for grammar, punctuation, capitalization, clarity, readability, consistency, and persuasiveness.
  • Lead all proposal activities (e.g., written, verbal, demonstrations), including ensuring bid strategy development and implementation; establishing and enforcing schedules; organizing reviews and incorporating feedback; and on time submission.
  • Scale the Public Sector Proposals ecosystem by leveraging ProposalHub’s global delivery network and infrastructure and share best practices across Public Sector and commercial accounts.
  • Drive structured and organized proposal meetings including kickoff and regular cadence throughout the development cycle to maintain focus and effort, keeping the team on task and on schedule for complete and compliant submissions.
