Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in business development or partnerships in the Latin American region and managing teams.
  • Experience with online advertising and product technology partnerships, launching new products, and developing business models.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with legal teams to sign and manage agreements.
  • Ability to grow in fast-paced, collaborative, and ambiguous start-up like environments where thoughtfulness, an entrepreneurial mindset, persistent execution, and relationships drive success.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical and product concepts.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a part of the Knowledge and Information LATAM Partnerships team, which sits within the broader Global Partnerships (GP) team, you will collaborate to build helpful and locally-relevant products for the region, driving Sustainable Value for Google and a Positive Impact on ecosystems and society.

As Head of Geo Partnerships for LATAM, you will lead product partnerships and ecosystem development for Maps, Waze, and Earth across the region. You will collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and Government Affairs teams, define and execute the regional strategy. You will address critical questions regarding business models and value creation for users, merchants, and partners. You will be responsible for executing business plans, managing partnership teams, and driving market penetration and growth. Your role involves CxO-level engagement with data providers, developers, and government officials to expand Google Geo verticals.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute deep insights and thought leadership to the Google Geo regional partner ecosystem by providing strategic oversight to some of the most difficult partner negotiations, deepen engagement for key partner accounts and develop effective strategies in a competitive environment for Google.
  • Drive consumer and merchant growth on Google's Geo products, working with key internal and external stakeholders, developing Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of the business and push the business acceleration.
  • Lead and manage a successful partner-facing organization.
  • Represent the company at industry events, which will include describing the benefits of working with Google to users, partners, and other industry players.
  • Collaborate closely with existing Google teams and leaders to ensure we have a co-ordinated approach to Geo products.
