Senior Software Engineer, Gemini, Cloud AI

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of coding experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Experience in Object-Oriented Design and programming concepts.
  • Experience with server-side web frameworks such as JSP or ASP.Net.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with UNIX/Linux, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, network programming or developing large software systems, Security software development, mobile application development, natural language processing.

We create Gemini enabled smart components and common experiences to be used by Google Cloud customers across web and mobile devices. Our team owns the design systems, common and smart components for Google Cloud Mobile and Console. Beyond leading the AI-first experience for our customers, we ensure experiences are consistent, intuitive, and delightful to build and use.

We provide the design systems, components and Gemini enabled smart components used by every Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product team building their experience. We provide GCP-wide experiences directly to customers on a variety of existing and upcoming surfaces to bring the best of GCP to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical lead for the team.
  • Contribute to a large program within AppEco, that includes launching and delivering AI driven components for Google Cloud Platform.
  • Work with both internal partner teams and external customers to understand and deliver on the requirements.
  • Bring quality focus to the team, and help advance the line on better quality and support for our customers.
  • Build and maintain a healthy relationship with the GCP developer community (internal developers).
