Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Experience with front end frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in front end engineering.
- Experience building Android Apps, Mobile platform, large-scale web application and client libraries.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team working on complex technical challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
- Track record of leading high-performing teams.

The Translate Bengaluru team will be a fully cross-functional team focusing on expanding access to translation services to more of the world, using skills in research, applied machine learning, Natural Language Processing, and Android app development.

Responsibilities
- Build and lead a new front-end team in Bengaluru.
- Mentor and guide developers, ensuring adoption of engineering best practices. Provide technical guidance on design decisions.
- Manage a team of engineers, which emcompasses conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and supporting career development.
