Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory experience, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
- Experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree.
- 4 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
- 4 years of experience in people management.
- 2 years of experience creating data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
About the job
The Global Product Solutions Strategy and Operations (GPS StratOps) team partners closely with each Global Product Solutions (GPS) leadership team and the regional Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to drive initiatives end-to-end for Global Business Organization (GBO). The team's job to be done range from running point on the GPS annual strategy planning process, defining and aligning Product Objectives and Key Results (OKR) metrics to steer the Ads business with, prepping product-specfic Business Forecast Meeting (BFM) executive reviews with Google's Chief Business Officer and product-specific Steering Committee (SteerCo) reviews with cross-functional business and product leaders, and one-off, product-centric strategy projects to drive outcomes in service of product positioning and activation.The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the GPS Search+ Strategy and Operations team of 5 product strategists.
- Be accountable for business partnering with the GPS Search+ leadership team, advising on product and go-to-market sales strategy, and ensuring operational excellence on the Core Search, Lead Generation, and other areas.
- Assure quality and timely delivery of presentations for executive reviews, ranging from BFMs on Search and Apps with Google’s Chief Business Officer to SteerCos on Core Search, Lead Gen, and other areas with cross-functional business leaders.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for streamlined GTM operations (e.g., team structure, OKRs, executive-facing narratives) based on regional and channel trends / market feedback.
- Pattern match and derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data analysis; communicate key findings to GPS Search+ leadership with executive-ready presentations.
