Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in iOS development in Swift, technical UX design, and prototyping.
  • Experience with vibe coding tools, including AI Studio, Cursor, Antigravity, Firebase Studio.
  • Experience in motion design related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work samples in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in technical leadership and managing projects.
  • Experience working with hosted backends (e.g. Firebase, Supabase) to power prototypes.
  • Familiarity working across full tech stacks and production environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.

You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, using user insights to create industry-leading products. Working on the front-end in a fast-paced environment, you will bridge UX best practices and production execution. You’ll use your creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of user-facing technologies to enable efficient, high-quality execution and launch innovative features to a global audience.

In this role, you will need both types of skills to develop the next-generation of products.You will partner with Researchers and Designers to deliver new features, test new concepts and assist with final implementation. You will work with interaction and motion designers to create interactive goals to explore novel interactions, build testable prototypes for usability studies, set the bar for polish and animation quality, and assist with final production implementation.In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Test concepts for iteration, research, and validation, conceiving and delivering engaging prototypes across a portfolio of products.
  • Identify emerging needs, develop interaction design best practices, and contribute to pattern documentation.
  • Lead or contribute to key projects, ensuring a holistic systems-thinking approach and advocating for user needs across platforms and applications.
  • Strategize, brainstorm, and define approaches that optimize implementation of the design intent.
