Commercial Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a technology contracting, deal desk, legal, or sales operations environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience negotiating enterprise agreements with customers and cross-functional internal business partners.
  • Experience developing agreement structures and communicating them to influence internal and external stakeholders up through executive leadership.
  • Experience supporting a goal carrying, enterprise selling organization in the cloud, software, consulting or technology space.
  • Experience in project management or transactional problem solving.
  • Ability to lead and take on multiple time-sensitive projects at one time.

About the job

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team by providing primary agreement execution support to a growing sales organization within Google Cloud. You will be responsible for managing quote to cash agreement execution across Google Cloud’s effective Google Cloud Platform (GCP) portfolio, including pricing, quoting and customer agreement negotiations. You will partner with legal resources and sales teams to structure agreements and manage non-standard term approvals for large and strategic agreements globally. You will also help with sales on-boarding and enablement and with the design of various process improvements including delivering requirements and maintaining accountability for all team's functionality.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Engage with enterprise customers to lead business and agreement consultations, manage objections, socialize customer requests with internal stakeholders, and coordinate approvals. Review and prepare agreement redlines, using custom language, and fallbacks as appropriate.
  • Build relationships with teams to accelerate agreements, drive continuous process improvement, attend forecast calls, staff meetings, and business reviews to keep apprised of priorities. Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the internal stakeholder groups including, without limitation, Sales Leadership, Global Business Practices, Legal, Finance, and Product Development.
  • Manage expectations of and present solutions that address issues and objections raised to, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic stewardship on agreement negotiations to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across the global organization with key leaders to formulate and advance key initiatives that result in efficiently closing agreements.
